Welcome to the Rush Center of Excellence on Disparities in HIV & Aging

The Rush Center of Excellence on Disparities in HIV and Aging (CEDHA) is a collaborative effort between Rush University Medical Center, the Ruth M. Rothstein Core Center, and the Community Outreach Intervention Projects of UIC, focusing on health disparities in older adults.

CEDHA was established in June 2012 by a five-year grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities.

The Center works toward eliminating health disparities by A) partnering with community organizations to engage older adults in strategies for healthy aging, B) training the next generation of researchers focused on health disparities, and C) conducting high quality, culturally-sensitive research on the social causes of health disparities in older adults.
