4th Annual Englewood Community Health Fair

We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who took part in making the 4th Annual Englewood Health Fair a success. There were almost 500 people in attendance! We would like to thank all of the staff, sponsors, vendors and volunteers for all of their effort. A special thank you to West Englewood Library for hosting us again this year and the Alderman Raymond Lopez-15th Ward office for their support. We were able to provide CPR demonstrations, blood pressure checks, immunizations, HIV screenings, along with a host of other services. Community members were also treated to exercise demonstrations, a tasty BBQ lunch, and school supplies for the youth. A great time was had by all and we look forward to working with everyone again next year.

Worlds AIDS Day "The Black Lives Matter Series": An Intergenerational Approach to HIV Testing and Linkage to Care was an amazing and exciting event. We had almost 40 in attendance, amazing speakers and presenters and great questions and discussion. The attendees participated in a half day of training and a great discussion that explored epidemiology of HIV across the lifespan, the contextual and environmental challenges across the ages, barriers to HIV treatment and prevention in different age categories and the relevant approaches and HIV prevention strategies for different age groups. The conference was tremendously successful, thanks in large part to your presence, questions and dialogue, marketing, influence and efforts. Your passion shows through. A Special thanks to both of the remarkable speakers: Dr. Oluwatoyin (Toyin) Adeyemi, and Temitope (Tope) Oyedele. All of the speakers and audience members were rock stars!
